Academy Terms of Service

  • By registering for Jersey Rangers Soccer Academy (the "Academy"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register for the Academy.

  • To participate in the Academy, you must be between the ages of 5 and 18. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

    • Registration for the Academy requires completion of an online registration form and payment of the applicable fees. Fees are based on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility for all families.

    • Fees are non-refundable unless the Academy cancels a program.

    • In case of program cancellation, registrants will receive a 100% refund.

    • In case of registrant withdrawal, registrant(s) will receive a refund as the following: 

      • 100% if before program starts

      • 50% after or during the program up to the middle of the program

      • ZERO refund after the middle of the program

    • The Academy reserves the right to change fees at any time, but changes will not apply to registrations already submitted.

  • All participants must adhere to the Academy's Code of Conduct, which emphasizes sportsmanship, respect for others, fair play, inclusivity, and positive behavior. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the Academy.

  • The Academy prioritizes the safety of all participants. However, participation in sports involves inherent risks of injury. By registering, you acknowledge and accept these risks. All coaches and staff are required to undergo background checks and hold appropriate certifications in first aid, CPR, and concussion safety.

  • The Academy may use photographs, videos, or other images of participants for promotional purposes. By registering, you grant the Academy permission to use your likeness in this manner. However, you have the right to opt-out of image usage at any time.

  • The Academy reserves the right to terminate a participant's enrollment for any reason, including but not limited to violations of the Code of Conduct, failure to pay fees, or disruptive behavior.

  • The Academy shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the Academy.

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Academy, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Academy.

  • The Academy maintains general liability insurance to cover potential accidents and injuries.

  • Participant information will be kept confidential and used solely for Academy purposes.

  • Any disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration.

  • A separate waiver of liability form may be required for participants or parents/guardians.

  • These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

  • The Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Academy's website.

  • This privacy policy outlines how Jersey Rangers Soccer Academy (JRSA) collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information (PII) of youth soccer players, parents, and other individuals involved in the academy. JRSA is committed to safeguarding the privacy of all individuals and complying with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

  • JRSA collects PII from various sources, including:

    • Player registration forms: Name, date of birth, address, emergency contact information, medical information, and photographs.

    • Parent/guardian consent forms: Contact information and consent for data processing.

    • Player evaluations and assessments: Performance data, strengths, weaknesses, and development goals.

    • Video recordings of games and training sessions: Player images and performance data.

    • Online forms and communications: Email addresses, contact information, and inquiries.

  • JRSA uses PII for the following purposes:

    • Player registration and management: Processing registrations, forming teams, and managing player information.

    • Communication: Contacting players, parents/guardians, and coaches regarding team schedules, events, and important announcements.

    • Player development: Tracking player progress, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

    • Team management: Creating team rosters, scheduling practices and games, and managing team communication.

    • Safety and emergency response: Maintaining emergency contact information and responding to medical emergencies.

    • Marketing and promotion: Promoting JRSA programs and services, with appropriate parental consent.

    • Compliance: Adhering to league rules, regulations, and safety standards.

  • JRSA may share PII with the following parties:

    • Parents/guardians: Information about their child's participation in the academy.

    • Coaches and staff: Information necessary for coaching, training, and team management.

    • League officials: Information required for team registration and scheduling.

    • Medical providers: Emergency contact information and medical records in case of emergencies.

    • Third-party service providers: Data processors who assist JRSA with data management and processing, subject to strict confidentiality agreements.

  • JRSA implements appropriate security measures to protect PII from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

    • Access controls: Limiting access to PII to authorized personnel.

    • Data encryption: Encrypting sensitive data both at rest and in transit.

    • Regular security audits: Assessing and improving security measures.

    • Employee training: Educating employees about data protection and privacy.

    • Incident response plan: Having a plan in place to respond to data breaches.

  • JRSA retains PII for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with legal obligations.

  • JRSA is committed to protecting the privacy of children. We comply with COPPA and obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under the age of 13.

  • Individuals have the right to access, correct, and delete their PII. To exercise these rights, please contact JRSA's data protection officer.

  • JRSA may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes.
